Feed a Stomach (oru vayaroottam)

Feed-A-Stomach started off with a small step, within the limits of Thiruvananthapuram City. In no time, this was extended to all 19 police districts of the State. Food prepared in around 24 kitchens and Feed-A-Stomach centres was distributed among beneficiaries identified through police and community networks. Till May 06, 2020, as many as 4,49,885 food packets were distributed, on an average of 29,430 packets in a day. Along with this, food material kits, which are enough for a five-member family for five days, were distributed to 29,801 families. Young members of SPC and ORC chipped in by contributing through voluntary service and donations to neighbourhood community kitchens run by local self-government bodies too. Every single bit counted in hard times.
