Nanma looks for the least recognised faces in the crowd and pushes them to the foreground. A similar exercise happened when the whole world went on a lockdown. While people cut themselves off from the streets, a group of sanitation workers fulfilled their job without compromise along with police and health officials. While the contributions of the latter were duly acknowledged, no one thought about the sanitation workers. Nanma did.
The lockdown period to check spread of Covid-19 required people to retract to their safe, personal spaces. But at the same time, there are sections of people who risked their lives to ensure normal lives were not affected. This includes health workers, police, firefighters, media persons, and sanitation workers. Among this, sanitation workers are the most neglected section, despite their engagement in extremely dangerous activities and least acknowledged
